CUBA GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP 2013/2014

Applications are invited from qualified Tanzanian for undergraduate degree programme tenable in the Republic of Cuba for the academic year 2013/2014.

FIELD OF STUDY:
Doctor of Medicine

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must:
· have completed form six (Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education) at a date not exceeding two (2) years by August, 2013;
· have obtained principal passes not below “C” in Biology and Chemistry, Physics or Geography;
· not admitted in higher education institution; and
· be not more than 25 years old by August, 2013.

MODE OF APPLICATION:
Applicants must:
· submit certified copies of Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education; Examination or Result slip for those who completed in February, 2013;
· submit certified copies of Ordinary Certificate of Secondary Education (O – level);
· submit photocopy of birth certificate;
· indicate reliable contact telephone numbers and e-mails; and
·  Applications from Zanzibar should be channeled through the Higher Education Coordination Unit of Ministry of Education and Vocational Training – Zanzibar.

Selected Applicants will be obliged to:
·  Purchase their tickets to Cuba for studies and back home after completion of study. NEEDY students can seek loan from the Higher Education Students’ Loans Board.
